David Crane has represented numerous fidelity and surety companies, owners, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in claims, mechanic’s liens, trials and appeals. He concentrates his practice in areas of construction, insurance, and real estate. David has represented interests in virtually all related areas of fidelity and surety claims and defense, commercial fidelity and general liability, probate bonds, miscellaneous bonds, and title insurance. His substantial experience includes business and real estate matters, agency and partnership disputes, successor liability, trusts and estates, and catastrophic loss claims.

He handles major construction cases involving non-payment, defective performance, defective design and specifications, take over and completion, damages for delay, cost overruns, and property loss. He has appeared in and tried cases in multiple state and federal courts across the Midwest and in Arizona, Colorado, and Ohio.

David has extensive jury and non-jury trial experience prosecuting and defending claims and resolving disputes for clients including: national fidelity, surety and title insurance companies; national wholesale material suppliers in multiple states; institutional lenders and banks; business and project owners; constructors, subcontractors and suppliers; real estate developers; and businesses, individuals, and victims of catastrophic losses.

In addition to his litigation practice, David is a former chair of the Missouri Air Conservation Commission. He was appointed and served as a municipal judge for the cities of Clayton and Frontenac, Missouri.
