Jim Baalmann named to Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s 2026 Unsung Legal Heroes list

Jim’s interest in law firm management took root in the early 1990s, when he helped a solo attorney launch a practice while completing his graduate degree. That early experience set the course for a career now spanning nearly three decades at Danna McKitrick.

As director of administration, Jim oversees the firm’s daily operations across human resources, accounting and finance, information technology, and office services. He also serves as an ex-officio member of the firm’s Executive Committee, advising principals on management, financial, and operational matters.

Among his proudest accomplishments is guiding the firm through decades of technological change, from traditional office systems to cloud-based platforms, all while championing the unique value each person brings to the organization. Jim finds the most meaning in working alongside personnel at every level and reinforcing that everyone’s contribution matters.
