Mike McKitrick named a top M&A attorney

Danna McKitrick, P.C. is thrilled to announce that attorney Mike McKitrick has been named a top finalist in the Mergers & Acquisitions category of St. Louis Small Business Monthly’s 2026 Best in Business Awards. More than 60,000 votes were cast across the awards’ 18 categories this year, and it’s a testament to Mike’s outsized impact on the St. Louis business community to be recognized on this list.

The Best in Business Awards recognize professionals and companies making an outsized impact across the St. Louis business landscape. Being named a finalist places Mike among a small group of leaders selected from a competitive statewide voting pool, a reflection of the trust he has built with clients, colleagues, and referral partners throughout his career.

Mike will be honored alongside the other 2026 finalists and winners at SBM’s Best in Business Award Winners luncheon in October. He will also be featured in the 2026-2027 Business Owner’s Guide, SBM’s Book of Lists, which compiles the publication’s best-of lists from the past 12 months.

Mike is part of Danna McKitrick’s mergers and acquisitions team, where he draws on decades of experience in both transactional law and commercial litigation to guide business owners through complex transactions. He advises clients on structuring and negotiating business and financial transactions, risk analysis, and regulatory matters, often serving as outsourced general counsel for the businesses he represents.

Mike earned his J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he served on the Iowa Law Review Board of Editors, and his B.S. with distinction from Northern Illinois University. After law school, he served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He was previously recognized by the St. Louis Small Business Monthly as a “Top 100 St. Louisans to Know to Succeed in Business” list honoree.
